2007 Short Notice Open Racing on Travis (SNORT)

We've started a very informal Travis race series call the SNORT. The idea is get together and race when the wind blows. Its just for fun (but may include a price for the sailor with the best overall results at the end of the year. Checkout the SNORT page here.

2006 Racing Schedule

Ok racer heads, here's the 06 events schedule. Check the US Windsurfing events page for national events, below is my personal race calendar for the year...

Why race did i hear you say? Cos the best way to improve is to push yourself beyond your limits. My old dad used to say, if you don't fall off your not trying hard enough! Racing gives you that extra push, lights that fire, makes it happen... Try it! Hey but these events aren't just all racing, they are also great social and industry things, like mini festivals. Come along even if you don't plan to race yourself, i guarantee you'll learn something even if its how to shot-gun a can or beer :-)

March 2-4 Calema Midwinters - Florida - ooo road trip
April 8-9 Gulf Coast Championships - Houston
May 6-7 Abilene Festival Race (north)
May 6-6 SPI Blowout (south)

AWC Lear2 Windsurf 2005

Of course, there is the big Learn2 Windsurf Festival this year. You've gotta come to that. Check out the flyer here. This is going to be awesome! The Sailworks/Starboard Experience team is coming, the local team is going to be coaching about 60 new students, we're going to have some clinics and generally hang out at the lake. THis is the start of something big! How long before Robby Nash comes - maybe next year :-)

West Coast Road Trip

Last year, JonB and I took a life changing windsurfing trip to the Canadian west coast. See details here...
