How to get there...it's not hard:
From the intersection of RR 620 and FM 2222, take RR 620 south
1.3 miles to Comanche Trail. Turn right on Comanche Trail and
travel 3.1 miles. Park entrance is on your left. Red star marks
the spot.

Map and what to watch out for:
Here is a Yahoo map of the basin location, followed by a very
rough home made version (we're working to get a more official
one ;-). The latter shows the basic buoy locations and is the
AWC working map for course setting. We tend to set courses around
the main basic and then North of Windy Point for a long up or
down wind leg depending on the wind direction.

There a pretty good pdf map of the park site available here...
We usually meet at the boat ramp on the park (WP). As you enter
the park take a sharp left (don't go onto "The Point")
and follow the road round past the ranger station and the gazebo
to the boat ramp. There is plenty of parking and an easy launch.
If the lake gets low there are some low spots just waiting
to catch a 70cm fin. Fortunately there are well marked and managed
by LCRA and any of the local sailors will tell you the scoop.
The only other thing to look out for are the swimmers off the
point...
Facilities...bring it with you:
The park is very well maintained and has very good facilities.
Unfortunately there is a fee to pay for the park (currently $5
or a yearly pass for $50). For that we do get:
- barbecue grills
- boat dock (restricted to sailcraft only)
- drinking water
- enclosed pavilion
- picnic tables
- restrooms
- sand volleyball courts
- showers
- Wind/Temp. Monitor
The park has the following hours of operation:
- Fall (Sept. 10 - Oct. 31) 9:00 am to 7:30 pm
- Winter (Nov. 1 - Feb. 28) 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Spring (Mar. 1 - Apr. 30) 9:00 am to 7:30 pm
- Summer (May 1 - Sept. 9) 8:00 am to 9:00 pm
